“If two hearts are meant to be together, no matter how long it takes, how far they go, how tough it seems, fate will bring them together to share their love forever.”

As cliché as the above quote may be, this was definitely the case for Henry and Julia.

10 Years ago, Julia and Henry met at the local pub in East London. Julia was home from university for her mid year break and Henry was running the laundromat, Fresh. Both young and down for fun, they had that real Summer love, the type that one

sees in movies and they made the decision to have a long distance relationship while Julia completed her three years of studies.

After going their separate ways for four years whilst Henry was working on a yacht all over the world and Julia opened her restaurant, Jules on Jarvis, it seems the couple was destined to be together. They reunited in 2021 and were engaged the following year October.

Henry and myself have grown to love each other’s cultures and differences; chicken flatties on the braai are a regular, flapjacks with Maple Syrup a Sunday favourite, sokkie dance classes got Henry on the dance floor and Julia learnt to make pap en sous, just like Henry's ma makes it.

We have been so fortunate to travel together and make such special lifetime memories along the way - something we hope to continue to do.

We really thank you for being part of our special day, it’s the beginning of the rest of our lives together and having all our loved ones there to witness our union in marriage is something we will cherish forever.
